Civil Judge-cum-Magistrate (BS-17) – Lahore High Court Jobs 2025

Eligibility Criteria ✅
Candidates applying for the post must fulfill the following conditions:
- 📘 Academic Qualification: Must hold a Law degree from a recognized university that qualifies the candidate to practice law, or be a member of the Faculty of Advocates of Scotland.
- ⚖️ Experience Requirement: Must have practiced as an advocate for at least two years after being enrolled. This period is counted from the date of enrollment with any Bar Association under Rule 7.10 (with Rule 7.18 of Punjab Legal Practitioners and Bar Council Rules, 2023), meeting conditions set under Rule-7 of the Punjab Judicial Service Rules, 1994.
- 🎂 Age Limit: Applicant must be at least 22 years old and not more than 35 years of age as of 05 May 2025.
Quota Reservations 📊
The Lahore High Court reserves specific quotas to ensure inclusivity:
- ♿ 3% reserved for differently-abled candidates under the Punjab Disabled Persons Ordinance, 1981 (amended in 2015).
- 🕊 5% reserved for minorities, in line with Punjab Government’s notification dated 27 March 2010.
Conditions of Appointment 📌
- ✍️ A written examination will be conducted covering legal and related subjects, as detailed in Notification No. SOR-III(S&GAD)1-13/2025 dated 08 April 2025.
- 📝 To qualify for further stages (psychological and aptitude tests), candidates must:
- Obtain at least 40% in each written paper
- Secure 45% overall
- 🎤 Those who pass the written stage will undergo a viva voce (interview) of 300 marks, and must achieve at least 150 marks (50%) to be considered successful.
