The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA), Government of the Punjab, seeks a Director – Estate Management & Transfer for its Land Acquisition & Estate Management department. This full-time appointment is based in Lahore and calls for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with solid background in land transfers and estate administration. The ideal candidate will bring at least 12 years of hands-on experience in public-sector land acquisition, property valuation and rights transfer processes. About Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA)

RUDA is the statutory body responsible for guiding land use, zoning, property acquisition and estate administration in Ravi Urban Development Project area. Established by the Punjab government, RUDA’s mandate includes:

  • Policy Implementation: Applying provincial directives on urban land planning.
  • Land Assembly: Procuring land parcels for public works such as roads, utilities and social infrastructure.
  • Compensation & Valuation: Determining fair market value, preparing payment schedules and managing disputes.
  • Transfer Processes: Overseeing title transfers, registration formalities and record-keeping in line with Punjab Land Revenue rules.

As Director – Estate Management & Transfer, you will join a team of planning and legal experts working on one of Lahore’s key urban expansion initiatives. This role involves strategic planning of land parcels, liaising with district revenue officers and coordinating between technical survey teams and legal counsel.


Role Context & Key Responsibilities

Urban development projects demand careful handling of land assets to serve public needs while respecting owner rights. Effective estate management supports timely construction of roads, parks, schools and hospitals. In your role you will:

  • Lead all phases of land acquisition: notification, survey, valuation and compensation disbursement
  • Review and approve transfer documents, payment vouchers and registration paperwork
  • Coordinate site visits with surveyors, project engineers and local revenue officials
  • Address title ambiguities, boundary discrepancies and claim resolutions
  • Monitor budget allocations for land purchase and advise on cost control
  • Prepare regular reports on acquisition progress, legal clearances and pending matters

Success in this position depends on your familiarity with Punjab’s Land Revenue Act, strong negotiation skills for amicable settlements, and the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams. You will work closely with the Project Director, legal advisors and community representatives to keep acquisition schedules on track.
