General Manager – Infrastructure & Planning (TransKarachi – Karachi Red Line BRT Project)

Key Responsibilities
🛠️ Leadership in Infrastructure Execution
- Lead and manage TransKarachi’s infrastructure planning, construction execution, and contractor coordination units.
📏 Construction Oversight
- Supervise all construction activities, ensuring durability, quality, and timely delivery of road and civil works.
✅ Standards & Compliance
- Enforce occupational health and safety safeguards and environmental standards across all job sites.
🔧 Asset Management
- Oversee long-term maintenance plans and civil asset management strategies for BRT infrastructure.
🔍 Quality Control
- Ensure adherence to international construction standards and project timelines, including FIDIC guidelines.
👥 Team Management
- Supervise multidisciplinary project teams and evaluate their performance against project objectives.
💬 Stakeholder Coordination
- Maintain effective working relationships with contractors, consultants, donor agencies, and financial institutions.
Qualification Requirements
🎓 Educational Background
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management.
- Preference will be given to candidates with international degrees or relevant FIDIC training.
🧠 Professional Experience
- At least 15 years of experience in civil infrastructure projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior management role such as Director or General Manager.
- A strong track record of successfully managing road-based infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with internationally funded projects and dealing with foreign donor requirements is preferred.
